Privacy policy
Last updated 17 October 2026
This policy explains how Dhruv Media ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit dhruvmedia.com, use our free content audit, contact us or work with us. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the UK GDPR and EU GDPR where they apply.
Who we are
Dhruv Media (registered in India as Dhruv Web Media), New Delhi, India, is responsible for your personal data. Contact: info [at] dhruvmedia.com.
What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, email, phone number and anything you write to us or share on a call.
- Booking details when you schedule a call through Calendly.
- If you take our free content audit (audit.dhruvmedia.cloud): your answers, name, email and the LinkedIn, Instagram or website link you enter. The audit page also records how far you got (pages viewed, time on each step, browser type and the page that referred you). If you arrived from one of our emails, that visit is linked to the email we sent you.
- For clients: the material you share so we can do the work, such as recordings, content and account access.
- Basic technical data our server records automatically (IP address, browser type, pages requested), kept for a short time for security.
Cookies and visitor statistics
This site does not use cookies. We count visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we host ourselves. It records pages viewed, the referring site, browser, device type and country, does not store your IP address, and cannot identify you. The audit page keeps a random session ID in your browser's session storage until you close the tab. External services we link to, such as Calendly and LinkedIn, have their own cookie and privacy policies.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and run the call you booked (your consent, or steps before a contract).
- To send you your audit report and a short follow-up about it (your consent).
- To deliver work you have hired us for (contract).
- To understand which pages and links people use, so we can improve the site (legitimate interest).
- To keep the site secure, and to keep records we are required to keep by law.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that affect you.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run the business: hosting and email (Hostinger), scheduling (Calendly), Google (we keep audit results in Google Sheets), OpenAI (writes the personalised part of your audit report from your answers) and the AI and automation tools we use to produce client work. They may only use your data to provide their service to us. Some are based outside your country; where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and audit results: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless you become a client.
- Client records and invoices: as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.
- Server logs: a few weeks.
How we protect it
Access is limited to people who need it for the work, accounts are password protected, and data is sent over encrypted connections. You can ask us to remove our access to your accounts at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before. Email info [at] dhruvmedia.com and we will reply within 30 days.
Complaints
Please contact us first at info [at] dhruvmedia.com. In India you may also approach the Data Protection Board of India. In the UK you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), and in the EU to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
